SCIM Provisioning

I am writing to formally request the implementation of SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) 2.0 support within the Stormwinds platform. As organizations scale, manual user management becomes a significant security risk and administrative burden. Implementing SCIM would allow for automated user provisioning, updating, and deprovisioning directly from Identity Providers (IdPs) like Okta, Azure AD (Entra ID), or Google Workspace. We are requesting the implementation of SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) 2.0 to automate user provisioning and deprovisioning. Currently, all user management in Stormwinds is a manual process, which creates administrative overhead, slows down onboarding, and introduces "leaver risk" (security gaps when terminated employees retain access). Without SCIM or JIT, our IT team must manually create, update, and delete accounts within Stormwinds. This leads to: Onboarding Delays: New hires cannot access the platform until a ticket is processed manually. Security Risks: There is no automated "kill switch." If an employee leaves the company, their Stormwinds access remains active until an admin remembers to delete the account. Data Inconsistency: User titles, departments, and email addresses often become out of sync between our primary directory and Stormwinds.

Expanded Date Filtering for the Leaderboard

You asked, we listened! We're giving the leaderboard a major upgrade by adding flexible date filtering. Whether you want to see how you or your team performed over the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, last year, or all time, you'll have full control. No more being locked into a single view. This is going to make tracking performance and spotting trends so much easier for both students and managers.

Investigation - Being Mobile Responsive

Currently, about 5% of our user base tries to access StormWind on mobile devices. Since we’re not mobile responsive yet, many users have requested this feature to watch videos on the go. This quarter, we’re starting an investigation into how we can make a mobile-friendly experience possible. Our goal is to explore ways to support users on mobile and expand access to a more flexible learning experience.

Explored - Not moving forward

Are you still watching?

We’re introducing a new feature to enhance the viewing experience—similar to Netflix! If a user has been watching for more than 4 hours straight, they’ll get a prompt asking, "Are you still watching?" This will help ensure uninterrupted playback only when it’s needed and prevent unnecessary streaming when the user might not be actively watching.

Learning Path Creation - Add courses in bulk, errors in red.

Bulk Add Courses and Skill Assessments: Soon, users will be able to select multiple courses or skill assessments at once and add them in bulk. This will streamline the process and save time compared to the current one-at-a-time selection method. Error Feedback for Missing Fields: We’re introducing a red error UI to guide users when required fields are left blank. This will help ensure all necessary information is filled in before the Learning Path is created.

Implement new UI for tags, eg. Skills assessments

We’re working on improving how tags for Skills Assessments, Learning Paths, and more. Currently, these tags appear in front of the thumbnail, which can sometimes go unnoticed and doesn’t fully meet accessibility standards. With the upcoming changes, tags will be more visible, user-friendly, and aligned with accessibility guidelines.

Onboarding work - Students, Admin , Paths

We initially launched a step-by-step onboarding process on the admin page, and now we’re bringing the same experience to students! When students use the "Browse Courses," "Learning Paths," or "My Classroom" sections for the first time, they’ll be guided through an onboarding process to help them navigate and get started more easily.
